Lorne Zalasky, CLU

Chartered Life Underwriter
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Lorne has been living in Edmonton since 1969.
His first career in financial and estate planning began with Canada Life, in 1986. With the 33 plus years of experience, Lorne’s continual growth and accomplishments have earned him his Charter Life Underwriter’s designation and qualification for the National Quality Award consecutively since 1988., Lorne was a Board Member for the Edmonton Life Underwriters Association which is now known as ADVOCIS. He continues to assist his local and national association in meetings surrounding the changes within the financial industry.
In May of 1997, with his business partner, Lorne purchased a downtown commercial condo space and for 20 years ran a boutique financial planning office. In 2017 their downtown offices were sold, and they each moved to a quieter location.
Outside of the office, Lorne has previously assisted at Christ The King church on church Council and the music ministry as their sound technician. In the past, Lorne helped with the Kids Ministry at Beulah Alliance Church. He also enjoys golfing, fly-fishing, greenhouse gardening as well as annually making red wine with some dear friends and clients.
Lorne’s past position as Northern Director for the Family Life Marriage Conferences further reflects his commitment to a strong foundation and security for the family. He served the Glenora community as the Communications Director and President, of the league. He also found time to coach his son’s indoor and outdoor soccer teams and enjoyed building the community ice rink for several years.
In 1999, Lorne lost his first wife to breast cancer. In May 2000 Lorne remarried. His wife Penny manages their busy home with their four children, Zachary, Jasmine, Jacob, and Jenevieve.
His two older daughters, Jade completed her education degree in 2019 and was married in 2018 and Zoë has her HR degree and married in September of 2017.
